GitHub-hosted macOS arm action runners are now available, see https://github.blog/changelog/2024-01-30-github-actions-introducing-the-new-m1-macos-runner-available-to-open-source.

This means that we do not need our custom "macos-arm" runner anymore.

My understanding is that the macos-13 is Intel-only whereas macos-14 is ARM-only. And macos-13 will continue to be available at least for the rest of this year. Later on, in case they go ARM only, we may have to think about what to do with the macOS Intel builds.
